Covering the Summer Olympics

Last spring, I had a chance to interview Mark Lazarus ’82 about leadership on the same day that he was named Chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. Last week, I caught up with Mark again, this time to talk to him about covering the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer. “It’s an incredible logistical feat, orchestrating 3,400 people around the globe," he said, estimating that NBC will produce 7,000 hours of content - equivalent to 10 months worth of TV on a 24-hour basis - in just 17 days.
