TRANSFORMING THE CENTER OF CAMPUS
The Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Center for Innovation and Active Citizenship is located in the center of campus, housing Gunn's innovative science, math, engineering, entrepreneurship, and citizenship curriculum in one location overlooking the School’s historic Quad.

The building serves as an interdisciplinary Hub of active learning, encouraging students to be curious, solve problems, take risks, think independently, and develop strength of character.

The Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Center for Innovation and Active Citizenship will open in the winter of 2023.
It will house:
- All sciences
- Mathematics
- Engineering & Technology
- Entrepreneurship
- The Center for Citizenship and Just Democracy
- Entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business; it builds skills that are necessary for all students to thrive in college and the workplace.
- Teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking, innovation, creativity and thoughtful risk taking are just some of the skills students will develop whilst undertaking classes in this subject area.
SUSTAINABILITY FEATURES:
- Thermal-glazed windows throughout the building to maximize energy efficiency and provide greater insulation
- Millwork from reclaimed trees incorporated into community seating areas
- Geothermal wells, which generate energy from the earth, as the primary heating and cooling source
- Roof-mounted solar panels to generate energy from the sun
