Schedule a Campus Tour & Interview

Schedule your campus tour and interview by calling 860-868-7334 or emailing Admissions. Your campus visit will take 1.5 – 2 hours, and includes a student-led tour, an interview for the prospective student, and time for parents to meet with an admissions officer. We encourage weekday visits during class time, reserving limited Saturday slots for long-distance travelers. A virtual tour and interview is also available.

Early Decision

Early Decision is a binding decision for all students who have decided The Frederick Gunn School is their number one choice. Early Decision applications are due on December 1 and admissions decisions are released on December 15. These dates are subject to change each year. To secure enrollment, admitted applicants must sign an enrollment contract and provide a deposit (30% of tuition) by January 5, 2027.

Regular Decision

Regular Decision applications are due on January 15, 2027, and admissions decisions are released on March 10, 2027. To secure enrollment, admitted applicants must sign an enrollment contract and provide a deposit (15% of tuition) by April 10, 2027.

Submit Your Application

Applicant must decide if they will apply Early Decision, due on December 1, 2026, or Regular Decision, and apply by January 15, 2027.

Early Decision and Regular Decision applicants must complete and submit the Standard Application Online (SAO). The Frederick Gunn School's SAO and SSAT code is 3628.

STANDARDIZED TESTING

The Frederick Gunn School is test-optional for the 2026-27 application process. If an applicant would like to submit standardized test scores, we accept the SSAT and ISEE for 9th and 10th grade applicants. We accept the PSAT, SAT, or ACT for 11th and 12th grade applicants, and PG students. SSAT scores may be submitted via the Standard Application Online. ISEE, PSAT, SAT, or ACT scores should be sent to: admissions@frederickgunn.org.

International Applicants

​​​​​​An English proficiency test is REQUIRED for international applicants for whom English is not their first language. We accept TOEFL (school code 8980), IELTS, and Duolingo scores. Please refer to our international admissions page for additional instructions.

We understand that investing in a Gunn education is a significant financial commitment. Our financial aid program helps to make a Gunn education accessible to families who may not be able to afford the full cost of tuition.
