Tuition & Financial Aid

We understand and appreciate the financial commitment families undertake in deciding to send their children to The Frederick Gunn School. We know each family will make the funding of their child’s education a priority and the goal of our Financial Aid Program is to allow access to those who may not be able to afford Gunn. Last year, we awarded more than $5 million of need-based financial aid with an average award of approximately $39,000.

The Frederick Gunn School’s policy is to make admissions decisions separate from financial aid decisions. At times, Gunn is not able to aid all qualified applicants, and, unfortunately, some may be placed on a waitlist. Gunn's financial aid is need-based; need is determined by your Clarity application and The Frederick Gunn School’s Financial Aid Committee.

While we do have a generous financial aid budget, we cannot guarantee funding to everyone who qualifies. In addition, we have very limited aid for international students. To learn more about the process for submitting an international financial aid application, please visit the FAQ section of the International Admissions page.
