The Frederick Gunn School is proud to introduce Gunn@Work, an innovative program that connects current Highlanders with alumni professionals through immersive workplace experiences. Launching from February 23 to March 4, 2026, as part of Highlander Term, Gunn@Work represents a bold reimagining of how students can bridge classroom knowledge with real-world, professional challenges.

What is Profession-Based Learning?

The Gunn@Work Experience

Over the course of one intensive week, participating juniors will:

Tackle Real Business Challenges:
Work alongside alumni professionals to address actual problems their organizations face
Develop Custom Case Studies:
Student leaders collaborate with alumni hosts to create realistic business scenarios tailored to their industry and company
Engage with Industry-Standard Tools:
Use the same technologies and methodologies professionals rely on daily
Present to Authentic Audiences:
Share solutions and insights with real stakeholders who can implement student recommendations
Build Lasting Mentorship Connections:
Develop ongoing relationships with industry professionals beyond the program week

Alumni Engagement: Professional alumni volunteer to host students in their workplaces
