Athletic Training

The Frederick Gunn Athletics Department has two Connecticut licensed, NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainers. Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC’s) are highly skilled healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians. Our Athletic Trainers provide care for all athletic injuries and are on site for all student athletic contests on campus.

Athletic Trainers specialize in the following five domains:

• Clinical examination and diagnosis

• Emergency care

• Injury prevention

• Wellness promotion and education

• Therapeutic interventions
