Canterbury Day

Rooted in tradition and fueled by competition,
our rivalries bring out the very best in every Highlander.

Athletic teams from The Frederick Gunn School and Canterbury School come together in the spirit of competition, sportsmanship, and camaraderie to participate in Canterbury Day every November. Game-day locations rotate between the two schools on an annual basis and school spirit is at an all-time high as the Highlanders take on the Saints and seek to accumulate points toward the Gunn-Canterbury Cup.

Throughout the year, one point is awarded to the winner of each head-to-head interscholastic athletic contest, regardless of level, between Canterbury and Gunn.  Ties are worth half a point.  At the end of the year, the school with the most points wins the cup.
