Girls JV Basketball

Andres Sovero joined the World Languages faculty in 2022. He teaches Spanish II and Spanish II Honors, and coaches Boys Highlander Soccer. Raised in Lima, Peru, and New Milford and Washington, Connecticut, Andres graduated from New Milford High School. He received his bachelor's degree in Spanish from Western Connecticut State University, where he played rugby and intramural sports, and was a member of the Multicultural Club. He holds a master's in higher education administration from Northeastern University. Prior to joining The Frederick Gunn School, Andres worked at Central Connecticut State University, managing student support services programs for students in grades 6 to 12 grade and higher education. Fun fact: Andres can make an amazing breakfast sandwich as well as select Peruvian dishes. He lives on campus with his wife, Luzvet, and daughter, Arianna. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, exercising, and playing soccer.
