Girls JV Basketball

A former New York City Teaching Fellow, Kara came to The Frederick Gunn School after teaching at Kents Hill School in Maine and in the New York City public school system. She has a BA in History with a minor in Irish Studies from Boston College and a Masters in Teaching from Pace University in NYC. At The Frederick Gunn School, Kara teaches World History I and II, coaches girls JV basketball, serves as a dorm parent in Graham House and is the Director of Student Activities. In her free time, Kara enjoys tennis, travel, watching HGTV and curating her etsy shop, SplendidMaine. Kara lives in Graham House with her husband, two daughters Harper and Neely and their dog Porkchop.
