Sarah Hunt P'23 '24 is Director of the Center for Academic Excellence. Sarah joined Gunn in 2022 as a member of the English Department faculty and the Center for Academic Excellence, where she is responsible for Special Projects/Educational Technology Support. She is Assistant Coach for the Highlander X co-curricular program. A New Hampshire native, Sarah is a graduate of Tilton School and Saint Michael's College, where she received a bachelor's degree in philosophy with a minor in English. She holds a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of New England and previously served as Director of Interim Studies at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. In 2021, she founded an educational consulting firm, Purposeful Development. Sarah lives on campus with her husband, Eric P'23 '24, IDEAS Lab faculty, and their three children, Annabelle '23, Wesley '24, and Anderson. They have a mini goldendoodle, Honu, whose name means "sea-turtle" in Hawaiian.
Kate ’05 grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and is a graduate of Hamilton College where she majored in Sociology. A three-season athlete at The Frederick Gunn School, Kate went on to play both ice hockey and lacrosse at Hamilton and led her lacrosse team to a Division III National Championship in 2008. When she isn't busy working with students in the College Counseling Office, Kate enjoys running, cooking, and cheering on the Washington Capitals during the NHL season. She is a dorm parent in Van Sinderen and coaches field hockey and lacrosse. Kate lives in Whittlesley with her husband, Bart, and their cat, Jinny.
