Twenty seven Gunn students enrolled in Visual Arts courses and the Technique and Artistry co-curricular program are participating in the Kent Art Association's 32nd Annual Student Art Show. An opening reception and awards ceremony were held on February 10. The gallery, located at 21 South Main Street in Kent, will be open to the public from 1-5 p.m. on February 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, and 24.
The juried show highlights work by students from seven area high schools, including Gunn, The Hotchkiss School, Kent School, Millbrook School, Forman School, Marvelwood School, and Housatonic Valley Regional High School. The Connie Horton Award of Excellence was presented for “Best of Show,” and students from each school received certificates for “Best of School.” At Gunn, that prize went to two juniors in Lincoln Turner's Digital Photography class, Jake Pellicane '25 and Tobin Connell '25.

Kent Art Association is a nonprofit and volunteer community organization celebrating its 101st year. It was founded by nine established artists who collaborated with each other when they lived in Manhattan, before moving to Kent. The spirit of the organization has evolved to include artists who explore all media, a vibrant lecture series, and a members’ gallery space in which artists show and sell their work.
