Students Represent the Bahamas at Harvard Model UN

A dozen Gunnery students who were part of this year’s Model United Nations co-curricular program traveled to Boston January 30 to February 2 to participate in the 67th session of the Harvard Model United Nations.
 

Representing The Commonwealth of the Bahamas, The Gunnery delegation included: Elio Baez-Estersohn ’22, Andrew Byrne-King ’20, Anthony Giang ’21, Alex Guo ’22, Josie Hahn ’21, Frank Ma ’20, Austin Ngo ’20, Robin Wright ’22, Maggie Wu ’22, Tim Yu ’22, Eric Zhang ’22, Karen Zhu ’21, and Alice Pan ’21. The students were accompanied by faculty advisors Edward Surjan and Karoline Theobald.

“Every year, Harvard MUN attracts some of the most promising young leaders from around the world," conference organizers said. "True to the spirit of the United Nations, HMUN strives to foster a constructive forum for open dialogue on a range of complex issues, including international peace and security and economic and social progress. We ask delegates to think critically about the world around them, and to think in new and ambitious ways."
