The Frederick Gunn School to Celebrate 171st Commencement

2019 Commencement Exercises

On Sunday, May 30, 2021, The Frederick Gunn School will graduate 87 students, representing 14 states and 11 countries, who comprise the Class of 2021. This will be the 171st Commencement of the school, which was founded in 1850 by abolitionist, outdoorsman and pioneering educator Frederick Gunn.
 

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and is open to students and their invited guests only. The event will be livestreamed on the school's website. Prior to the granting of diplomas, Josh Novick ’21 will deliver the Head Prefect Address. Head of School Peter Becker will deliver the Commencement Address and present the school’s three top prizes: The Gunn Cup, the Brinsmade Prize and the Head of School’s Prize. Additional prizes will be presented to seniors during the ceremony.
