A Tale of Two Art Shows

A Tale of Two Art Shows

Frederick Gunn School student-artists have work featured in two exhibits in Washington this month, one at The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens in Washington Depot, and one in the Perakos Family Cares Art Gallery in the Thomas S. Perakos Arts and Community Center on campus.

The Student Art Show at the Judy Black features work by students from Gunn, Rumsey Hall, Shepaug Valley School, and Washington Montessori School. An opening reception is planned on Thursday, April 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The show will remain on view through April 19. The gallery is located at 1 Green Hill Road, Washington Depot.

The show in the Perakos Family Cares Art Gallery features selected paintings, drawings, ceramics, and photography by current Gunn students. The exhibit will remain on view through May 28. The gallery is open to the public free of charge. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is available in the Upper Lot off Kirby Road, with a limited number of accessible parking spaces outside of TPACC. Please refer to the Campus Map for details.
