Gunn Music to Present Annual Chamber Concert

Gunn Music to Present Annual Chamber Concert

On Sunday, April 26 at 7 p.m., The Frederick Gunn School Music Program will present A Chamber Concert showcasing the remarkable talents of Gunn Music Students. The concert will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 78 Green Hill Road in Washington. Admission is free and all are welcome. No reservations are required.

This annual spring concert is unique in that the program is determined by the students, who select and prepare solo and small ensemble pieces and are required to audition. The program reflects a broad range of music, from classical to contemporary, with works by Schubert, Bach, Mozart, Handel, Norah Jones, Danny Elfman, and “Weird Al” Yankovic. The accompanist for the evening is Sarah Fay, a member of the adjunct music faculty.

“Tonight’s lineup represents a spectrum of musicianship, ranging from blossoming beginners to seasoned virtuosos, including those recognized at the all-state level,” said Ron Castonguay P’27, Director of the Arts and Music Director. “I couldn’t be prouder of their growth and
achievements.”
