Health & Wellness
At The Frederick Gunn School, the health and well-being of our students is a priority. Our Health Center is open seven days a week with an experienced staff that includes registered nurses as well as an athletic trainer.
The Health Center is led by Tammy A. Marquis, APRN, Director of Health Services, who is available to diagnose and treat students Monday through Friday and can coordinate appointments off-campus with local medical specialists as needed. Counseling services are available with appointments coordinated by the Dean of Students Office and Dr. Brian Konik, Director of Counseling.
The Health Center works in partnership with Candlewood Valley Pediatrics, which provides physician services for students as needed. With offices just 7.5 miles from our campus, the practice consists of six board-certified pediatricians, who are committed to providing quality, family-oriented care in a friendly and compassionate environment. Kristi Beck, M.D., who joined the practice in 2019, is The Frederick Gunn School’s Medical Director.
